Mom Forced To Learn New Core Values At School

SPOKANE, WA—Calling it her most important lesson of the school year, local mother Jennifer Barratt, 34, told reporters Tuesday that she had to learn the new core values at her local middle school. “It’s so important that I learn a new set of values every time I pass by the cafeteria,” said Barratt, explaining that she had to understand how she was supposed to act and how she was supposed to feel in order to identify herself as a member of the school’s Hispanic-only residential team. “The school’s Hispanic-only team works hard to provide a safe, comfortable environment where every member of the team is a little different, but not Hispanic. I could be a little different if I wanted to, but I’m not meant to be a stereotype. I’m a real, tangible example of this.” Barratt went on to say, however, that she was still unaware of the school’s other core values.
