WASHINGTON—According to a report published Friday by the Pew Research Center, more than half of American users have not been online in the past year. “We found that nearly half of all Internet users have not been online in the past 365 days,” said lead researcher Emily Roberts, noting that nearly half of all internet users did not visit the internet in January and February, while a further 30 percent visited the internet in March. “And among those who visited the internet in December and January, 43 percent had not returned.” Roberts added that, of those who visited the internet in February, only 37 percent visited it in March.
