Friedman Asks For More Money To Build New Housing
By Floyd McRobotface
WASHINGTON—After a series of failed attempts to raise the $700 million needed for a new housing project, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner reportedly asked for more money Monday to build a new, state-of-the-art housing project. "It's not like there's another project like this in the nation," Geithner said. "I'm not saying the U.S. housing market is any better, but I'm saying that the housing market could use a boost of at least $700 million or, hell, a little more. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for." After receiving his request, a visibly relieved Geithner said he'd already gotten his hands on the $800 million housing loan that is due in 2023.
