Man Struggling To Find Self-Compassion Over Emotional Subject

PINE BLUFFS, NC—Saying he had grown accustomed to treating himself as a doting parent and confidant, local man Simon Hofstede admitted Tuesday that he was struggling to find any self-compassion over an emotional subject. “I just try to ignore it all, so I can’t really feel anything,” said Hofstede, adding that he had long since learned to avoid emotional experiences altogether and had long since dismissed all of it as unnecessary. “I don’t really know what it is. Maybe I just don’t feel like talking about it. I guess I should be remembering that I’m a human being.” According to sources, Hofstede has reportedly told his friends that he would be open to exploring his feelings with just as many people and allowing them to come to him with their own inquiries.
