PETA Warns Dogs Killing For Meat Are More Dangerous Than Dogs Killing For Fun

CAMBRIDGE, MA—In an alarming warning that is sure to send shockwaves through the pet industry, a coalition of animal rights group PETA issued a statement Monday warning that dogs killing for meat are far more dangerous than dogs killing for fun. “We’ve seen many cases of starving dogs being viciously mauled by wolves for their meat, and we have to ask ourselves, is that something that should be considered fun or something that should be considered morbidly fun?” said PETA spokesperson Caroline Brown, adding that many of the dogs killed for meat were known for their attachment to their meat, often refusing to eat the meat until it had been partially chewed up and spit out. “We have to ask ourselves, is eating a hamburger a fun thing to do or is it something that should be considered something that should be considered fun? If a dog is sick of eating the meat, why do I go to such great lengths to avoid it?” At press time, sources confirmed that PETA had issued a statement urging pet owners not to feed their dogs meat.
