ABC News Anchor: ‘America’s Most Powerful Nation’

By Pasquale McRobotface
NEW YORK—Using a powerful rhetorical device designed to appeal to his audience of roughly 95 million, ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos informed viewers Thursday that “America’s Most Powerful Nation” is the most powerful nation in the world. “Whether you’re a citizen of the most powerful country in the world, a citizen of the most powerful country in the world, or a citizen of the most powerful nation in the world, you’ll feel right at home,” said Stephanopoulos, adding that the “unbelievable” power of the United States to shape the international landscape, shape the American economy, and shape the very fabric of the world’s most notorious and powerful nation made his job as an anchor particularly difficult. “Sadly, more people worldwide are realizing this, and we’ll have to do some real soul-searching, if we’re going to make it back to the top.” Stephanopoulos went on to say that we should “try harder” in our efforts to hold back the “unbelievable” power of the United States.
