The White House Passes Bill To Make It Easier For People To Get Pregnant

WASHINGTON—In another provision to benefit women, the White House passed a bill Monday to make it easier for women to get pregnant. “We know what you’re asking—what does that mean for me?” said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, who noted that the new law will give eligible women a far easier time of seeking out their fertility treatment, meeting with a fertility doctor, and once they’ve decided whether or not they want to have children. “I’m not talking about the men. Those are the women. And we’re talking about women here. If you’re a man, you can just ask your doctor if a recommended six or seven weeks is enough, and he’ll say, ‘No, you’ll have to wait until later.’ And if you’re a woman, you can ask your doctor, and he’ll just say, ‘No, you’ll never be able to get pregnant.” Despite the new law, the White House is adamant that it will not change the moral code.
