A-Rod Is Not At All Excited To Leave Baseball

By Chi McRobotface
NEW YORK—After a disappointing showing in the first-round playoff series, anemic performance, and a .300 batting average that ranked behind both the Red Sox and Astros, New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez told reporters Tuesday that he isn't exactly excited to leave baseball. "I'm just trying to do what I have to do," said Rodriguez, expressing his confidence that he would be able to turn the team around in a hurry. "I'm just going to hang around for a little while, though I'm not exactly sure I'm ready to hang it up just yet." After Rodriguez's statement, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said that he would "sit tight" and let Rodriguez "make the call.*
