NFL Headhunters Confirm Jacksonville Jaguars Are No. 1 Preseason Pick To Overlook

NEW YORK—NFL executives announced Thursday that the Jacksonville Jaguars have been named the league’s No. 1 preseason pick to underlook following their 8-8 record and recent loss to the New England Patriots. “After rigorous research, the Jaguars’ talented roster is a solid bet to provide us with a quality team with a long shot to make the playoffs this year,” said NFL scout Joe Baker, adding that the team’s depth chart at quarterback provides ample support for a team that is better than .500 all season. “Their defense, which is ranked No. 1 in the league, is solid, and their offense should be able to provide us with enough firepower to get by with a mediocre offense and a few poor games.” At press time, NFL personnel confirmed that the Jaguars have acquired the No. 1 overall pick over the objections of the Cleveland Browns.
